Service Description

Get ready to move, sweat, smile, and surprise yourself! This beginner-friendly Couch to 5K program lead by Tina Duplissie is designed to help you build confidence and endurance one step at a time — no running experience needed. With just 3 workouts a week and sessions lasting around 30 minutes, you’ll gradually progress from walking to running in a way that feels achievable, motivating, and fun. Each workout includes guided dynamic warm-ups to prepare your body, easy-to-follow run/walk intervals, and post-run cool downs with stretching to help recovery and prevent soreness. Whether your goal is to complete your first 5K, improve your fitness, boost your energy, or simply create healthy habits, this program meets you where you are. Expect encouragement, small wins, and plenty of “I can actually do this!” moments along the way. Lace up your shoes, take it one workout at a time, and let’s turn those first steps into something amazing. Note: This Couch to 5k class is scheduled to prepare participants to be ready to run in the Nordic Trail Fest on Aug 15. It could be a fun goal to run as a team. Participants do not have to run in the Trail Fest or could opt to run with a different team.

Cancellation Policy

Couch to 5K Class We’re excited to have you join our Couch to 5K Class! This multi-session program is designed to help you build confidence and endurance one step at a time until you are ready to complete a 5K. Program Structure This is a 18-session program. Consistent attendance is strongly encouraged so you can progress your endurance and get the most out of each session. Pricing Members: $50.00 (18-session program) Non-Members: $75.00 (18-session program) Payment Payment is required to reserve your spot. Please pay via Venmo: @NMCTrails (put C5K class in the notes) Or send a check with C5K class in the memo to: NMCT PO Box 42 Presque Isle, ME 04769 Cancellations & Changes We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel, please do so at least 72 hours before the first session so we can offer your spot to someone else. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the first session are non-refundable. Missed Classes We understand that schedules are busy and 18 sessions is a big commitment. It is ok if you expect to miss a session, please notify the instructor in advance. Class Day Please arrive a few minutes before the scheduled start time so we can begin promptly. We will meet in the stadium field in front of the lodge. Participants should: * Wear appropriate running sneakers (trail sneakers are best and optional) * Dress in comfortable, weather-appropriate athletic clothing (we will still run in the rain) * Bring water Participation By enrolling, you confirm that you are physically able to participate in moderate to vigorous outdoor activity.
