Northern Maine Community Trails offers year-round outdoor recreation on more than 750 acres in Presque Isle, with trails for Nordic skiing, biking, hiking, snowshoeing, and family exploration.

​Winter Trail use includes fat biking, Nordic skiing (cross-country), and snowshoeing.

*Grooming for Nordic skiing will take place on the Presque Isle Loop, the Stadium Loop, and the Gallagher Loop this winter. ​​
​
*Please refrain from snowshoeing on groomed Nordic trails.
Before You Head Out:

The trail system is open to the public year-round for skiing, biking, hiking, and snowshoeing. Donations help support grooming, trail maintenance, and improvements to the lodge and trail network.

​​Parking - Available at the Northern Maine Community Trails lodge lot or along the road at the Tom’s Trail trailhead. Overnight parking is allowed by permission - (contact support@nmctrails.org)

Trail Etiquette - Please stay on marked trails, respect grooming and trail conditions, and help keep the area clean for all to enjoy.
Trail Donations - Help support grooming, trail maintenance, and improvements. Suggested donation is $5 per person or $10 per vehicle per day through Zeffy.
Hours - Trails are open to use 24/7 unless closed due to weather/trail conditions. Trail Conditions here: NMCT Facebook page

* Dogs are allowed only on Tom’s Trail and Tom’s Return during winter.
In summer, dogs are allowed on Tom’s Trail, Tom’s Return, and the ski trails.
Please keep dogs leashed or under close control. Clean up after them so everyone can safely enjoy the trails.
