Service Description
Explore creativity outdoors in our all-ages Nature of Art class—a hands-on day of art-making inspired by the natural world. We’ll begin with a short, guided hike to observe, identify, and responsibly forage materials that will be used in three unique projects. Participants will create clay slabs, imprinting leaves, textures, and found objects into clay pieces that will be kiln-fired at the University and available for pickup later. Next, we’ll make botanical prints, using gathered plants and gentle hammering to release natural dyes onto white cotton cloth—ready to take home the same day. Finally, we’ll design stick mobiles, exploring balance, composition, and movement by assembling sticks, branches, rocks, and pinecones with twine. All materials and foraging bags are provided.

Nature of Art Booking Information Program Structure This is one day event for all ages! Adult supervision is required for 7yr olds and under. One adult can supervise a group, siblings or friends. Pricing Members: $10.00 Non-Members: $15.00 Member families (2 or more from the same family) $15.00 total Non-member families (2 or more from the same family) $20 total Payment Payment is required to reserve your spot. If you need to cancel, please do so at least 72 hours before the event so we can fill the spot. Cancellations within 72 hours are non-refundable. Rain Days Dress appropriately. Class Day Please arrive a few minutes before 1:00 pm so you can enjoy the full class experience without disruption. We will meet at the Welcome Center. Please have wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing, bring a sweatshirt or windbreaker (if chilly) and wear good shoes to hike in. We encourage you to bring a water bottle and a snack. Participation By enrolling, you’re confirming that you are able to safely participate in light to moderate physical activity. Questions? We’re here to help!
